Early on this day in 1896 in a brick work shed in Detroit, Michigan, Henry Ford and his associates began an American revolution. They completed work on his first automobile, an age of making the automobile available to the common person began. The first road test of his car had to be delayed for an hour or so because the genius Ford had overlooked a minor detail: His car was wider then the door of the brick work shed! Some bricks had to be axed down by his workers to widen the opening.
This June day would be idea for enjoying a leisurely drive in your car - an ideal day to be grateful for Henry Ford's invention that has given so much freedom and pleasure to so many. Also, it can be an occasion to feel better about yourself the next time you forget something or make a mistake. If a genius can overlook an important detail such as the size of the door through which he must drive his invention, you needn't get down on yourself when you miscalculate a project or forget to plan ahead - or even when you forget where you placed your car keys.
Reflection
Even though we all have our moments when we are confronted by our humanity,
Those moments are not as important
as the lifetime we live as risen people
With the Spirit of God living within us.
It's better than being a genius. crsr
